Her groundbreaking achievement made her the recipient of a brand-new car at her event and had won her the Silverbird Lifetime Achievement Award, which she dedicated to her fans and loved ones.

Last week, during singer Dbanj’s anniversary dinner, Funke Akindele recounted how God used him to speak to her to keep her popular Jenifa brand. To show his support for her, he gifted her money to work on more sequences, and that brought about the Return of Jenifa.

In an Instagram post, the box office Queen had also slammed her trolls while discussing her survival in the movie industry. She spoke about being an underdog in the industry and how she keeps pushing the boundaries in Nigerian cinema.
