“God did” Funke Akindele rejoices as she beats Mo Abudu, others with her new achievement

Nollywood actress and movie producer, Funke Akindele continues to record massive success in her endeavors.
Adding to her list of numerous achievements, Funke Akindele has beaten Mo Abudu as she becomes the filmmaker with the highest-grossing movie in Nigeria.
Funke Akindele earned the top two posts with her box office movies, Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga.
Coming third place was The Wedding Party which was produced by Mo Abudu and directed by Kemi Adetiba.
Sharing the news on her Instagram page, Funke Akindele credited her success to God.

Earlier on, Kemi Adetiba had given Funke Akindele flowers over her achievement.
The Wedding Party producer also shared the list of the top 3 highest-grossing Nigerian movies, while applauding Funke.
Hailing Funke Akindele, she captioned the screenshot with a flower emoji while also tagging Funke Akindele.
Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele, and Ayo Makun top the list of highest-grossing movie producers with over N1 billion
Just days back, Kemi Filani reported that Nigerian movie producers, Mo Abudu, Ayo Makun, and Funke Akindele had topped the list of highest-grossing movie producers in Nigeria.
In a list compiled by Tip Charts Africa, Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele, and Ayo Makun were said to have grossed over N1 billion in movie.
Mo Abudu came out on top with N1.59 billion. Following closely behind is actress and movie producer Funke Akindele with N1.33 billion. Comedian Ayo Makun is third on the list with N1.25 billion.
Joining them on the list is Jade Osiberu with N707 million and Toyin Abraham with N564 million.
Also on the chart was the list of Highest Grossing Nollywood movies of all time with Funke Akindele’s Omo Ghetto The Saga topping the chart.
Mo Abudu’s The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2, Chief Daddy, and Your Excellency came out 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 10th.
Ayo Makun’s Christmas In Miami, Merry Men 1, and Merry Men 3 were 6,8, and 9 on the list.
