Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele has retained her title as the Box Office Queen in Nigeria.
The movie star has broken her previous records as her new movie, A Tr!be Called Judah has almost N1 billion. According to reports, the latest production from FAAN has netted 854 million in the past few days.
Sharing the good news on her Instagram page, Funke who is in awe, credited her creator for being behind her success.

Last week, Kemi Filani reported that Funke Akindele was set to retain the title of the Box office King for the third in a role as her movie hit 613 million in just 2 weeks, which had left the movie star speechless. Taking to her Instagram page to share the good news, Funke expressed gratitude to Nigeria and her creator as she made it known that she is short of words over the love and support.
The movie also became the biggest opening of all time and the number-one film in Nigeria and West Africa, which the actress broke three days after the release of her blockbuster.
Funke Akindele held the title of the Highest Grossing movie with A Battle of Buka Street, which netted 640 million at the box office.
This has made the mother of twins, the highest-grossing filmmaker in Nollywood. Funke had beaten Mo Abudu, earning the top two posts with her box office movies, Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga.
Coming third place was The Wedding Party which was produced by Mo Abudu and directed by Kemi Adetiba.

To add to it, Funke Akindele, as well as Mo Abudu, and Ayo Makun had topped the list of highest-grossing movie producers in Nigeria.
In a list compiled by Top Charts Africa, Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele, and Ayo Makun were said to have grossed over N1 billion in movies.
Reflecting on her journey, while marking her birthday last year, Funke expressed gratitude to God for being with her throughout her journey so far.
She appreciated Him for being with her in the very beginning, the Old Nollywood days, and now.
