Box office Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo Salami has reacted to his loss at the just concluded Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.

Femi Adebayo shared a snippet from his trending movie, Ageshinloke, King of Thieves on Instagram. He accompanied the video with an appreciation note to his followers and fans who voted and supported him.

The actor also congratulated the winners from the awards ceremony for their win at the event.

Sharing the video, Femi Adebayo wrote, “THANK YOU ALL for the love, the nominations, the votes & the wins! Congratulations to all winners!”

Femi Adebayo’s post came at a time that Nigerians, including Nollywood stars, expressed displeasure with the just concluded AMVCA show.

Many celebrities on social media expressed their displeasure with the organisers of the show for allegedly cheating and committing fraud with the awards.

Angry Ijebu calls out AMVCA for cheating in their Awards

An angry Olatayo Amokade, popularly known as Ijebu called out AMVCA’s organisers for allegedly cheating with their wards. The actor was captured in an online video chanting ‘ojoro’ literally translated as ‘fraud’ at the just concluded show.

Although Ijebu did not mention AMVCA, he, however, made it clear that he was hinting at the show because Femi Adebayo’s movie did not clinch any awards from the nomination.

From the video, Ijebu mentioned movies by Femi Adebayo which had been neglected by the awards and also noted that his latest film was not rewarded last night.

Mixed reactions trail Ijebu’s video as some agreed with the actor’s cry of foul, while others claimed Femi Adebayo’s Ageshinloke did not garner enough votes for it to win at the AMVCA show.

Also, angry reactions trailed Kunle Remi and Ibrahim Chatta’s snub from the nominations list of the awards.

Kunle Remi was snubbed from the nominations list of the prestigious awards despite his undeniable role in Kunle Afolayan’s epic drama, Anikulapo, which earned 16 nominations.

Anikulapo bagged 16 nominations from AMVCA, while the lead actor, Kunle Remi, whose role geared many to watch the movie, was not part of the 16 nominations.
