Rapper Falz has reacted to the arrest of Africa Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, by the Department for State Security, DSS.
Sowore was picked up last week following a planned Nationwide protest tagged Revolution Now which kicked off on Monday.
The protest is aimed at demanding good governance from public office holders and to address certain issues bedevilling the country.
Reacting to the arrest and continued detention of Sowore, Falz said:
“What we are facing is a build – up of the several years of neglect of the welfare of our people. Our government’ s constant disregard for the loss of lives of many Nigerians. ”
He added:
“The ridiculous rate of poverty and unemployment that afflicts us . This is not a time to arrest anyone but to listen to the voices of the masses . Organizing a protest march does not in any way amount to treason . # FreeSowore Immediately !”
