Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivibie, popularly known as Erigga has questioned EFCC on their new law forbidding landlords from renting houses to Yahoo boys.
Kemi Filani news reported on Tuesday, June 28 that the The Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) had issued a stern warning that landlords may risk 15 years in jail for renting houses out to “Yahoo boys.”
The Commission made this known ahead of its next edition of its public conversation series tagged, “ #EFCCConnect,” which has been slated to be held by 6pm on Twitter Space on Wednesday, June 29th 2022.
The commission’s Deputy Director, Legal and Prosecution, Sylvanus Tahir and Assistant Director, Legal and Prosecution, Cosmos Ugwu will be speaking on the topic, “Give your house to Yahoo boys, spend 15 years in jail” at the forum.
Chipping in, Erigga questioned the law and measures that would be put in place for politicians who are similar to yahoo boys.
He pondered on what would happen to a country where yahoo men rule.
“Dem say 15years imprisonment for landlord when rent house to yahoo boy but what about country when yahoo men dey rule?”.
Kemi Filani news recalls Erigga, had thrown shades at social media users who do most of the things they criticise against.
According to the controversial artiste, 92.3% of users are guilty of this act of hypocrisy and always deceive their followers by not practising what they preach.
