‘Equal doesn’t always mean fair’ Kemi Adetiba pens powerful note to self to celebrate International Women’s Day (Photos)

Nollywood movie producer and director, Kemi Adetiba have penned a powerful note to herself in celebration of international women’s day.

Taking to her Instagram page, Kemi shared a series of pictures of herself and her workflow, she celebrated every woman, irrespective of their career path.

Pondering about this year’s theme on International Women’s Day which dwells on equality and equity (being fair and impartial), she said it has been an eye-opener as she clearly understands that equality doesn’t mean fair.

Kemi further clamoured for a world where everyone will understand the importance of equality and equity and women would be given more opportunities.

She wrote: “Dear woman,

“Whether you’re a CEO, a trader, or taking a moment to discover where you fit in… I celebrate you today and every other day.

“This year’s INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY theme – #EmbracingEquity – has been such a learning point for me. I’m understanding more, that equal doesn’t always mean fair.
Our starting points may be different, but the goal is TRUE inclusion for us all… Not just for some. We all should seek a world where ALL women are given the opportunity to be the best they can be. A world that understands the subtle yet incredibly important difference between EQUALITY and EQUITY and how the latter creates fairness and balances opportunities for all women. Sophia Momodu shares impactful message with women

Kemi Filani reported a few hours ago that entrepreneur, Sophia Momodu shared a piece of impactful advice with women in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The entrepreneur took to her Instagram page to share beautiful pictures of herself as she advises women on the meaning of their very existence. Sophia said that women should never try to be a man while noting that being a woman is powerful when done rightly.

She wrote: “You could never be man don’t even try, be a Woman. it’s powerful business when done correctly”.

Joining the rest of the world in celebration of 2023 International Women’s Day, Award-winning Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage paid a visit to Buckingham palace.

The mother of one, shared a photo of her and the Queen Consort, HRH Camila at the royal palace.

Tiwa Savage, was among the VIP guests at the International Women’s Day reception held at the Buckingham Palace, England.
