Amidst the ongoing Endsars protest anniversary, former presidential spokesperson, Reno Omokri has shared a photo of the legendary singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, better known as Sound Sultan at the last protest held at Lekki Tollgate.
Taking to Instagram, Reno had revealed that the late singer is a hero, the reason being that he had sacrificed his comfort despite battling with a serious health condition.
In a similar situation, Reno said the political leaders of the country would abdicate their offices for six months to get treated in London as he remembered the singer for his unwavering support in seeing to the progress of the movement last year.
According to him, the singer is among the fallen heroes who should be recognized even though the cause of his death was unrelating to the brutal killings at Lekki Tollgate exactly a year ago.
Sharing a photo of the deceased at last year’s endsars protest, he disclosed that his picture should be used on Nigeria’s stamps whenever a sane government rises to power.
He wrote:
And to think that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to fight for the common man. What an uncommon man.
Buhari was sick and he ran to London for 6 months. In a similar situation, this young man chose to associate with the people.
Whenever a sane regime rises to power, this photo should be put on Nigeria’s stamp.
