Below are pictures from the memorial service held in honor of late Ghanaian singer, Ebony Reigns who dies in an auto crash last week. The singer and 3 others were said to be in a jeep traveling when their vehicle collided with another which led to the instant death of Ebony Reings real name Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng. The other two who also died immediately are Francisca Nkansah Kuri aged 27 years and Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu, aged 29.

The event took place at Martins De Porres School, Dansoman in Accra with thousands of of family and friends in attendance to pay their respect to the late singer.

While the family still grieves, some quarters are of the opinion that the singer ignored warnings from prophets who told her of the horrible event to befall her. Few days ago, her mother was at the scene of the accident with some security men who were still carrying out investigations to figure out what really happened. They said,

“On reaching a section of the road between Nyamebekyere and Nsuta, there was a heap of sand in the lane of the Jeep which was being used for the road maintenance. The driver in trying to avoid running into the sand, swerved onto the opposite lane and grazed the nearside portion of the bus and plunged into the railings at the edge of the road, killing the three other occupants identified as Francisca Nkansah Kuri aged 27 years, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng [Ebony], and Lance Corporal Vondee Francis Atsu, aged 29 years.’’

Many at the event wore black clothes while her parents were the only ones seen putting on something close to white as customs require they do if they are losing a child for the first time. It was announced at the event that she will be buried on March 17.
