MAVINS founder and music executive Don Jazzy has sent an important message to upcoming artists.
The talent manager, while sharing how he got to sign Ayra Starr, Boyspyce and Bayanni, gave advice to upcoming talents.
Don Jazzy revealed that he was the one who reached out to the fast-rising singers.
Sharing more, he stated that he saw samples of their musical performances on their Instagram pages.
Don Jazzy was enchanted with their vocals and talents and reached out to them.
The music executive advised artists to show themselves on social media.
“Dear upcoming artists,
From these 3 screenshots you can see that I reached out to Ayra, Boyspyce and Bayanni myself. I won’t have reached out to them if I didn’t see a sample of what they can do on their Instagram pages. For the umpteenth time, showcase yourself on your page. I know it seems uncool to post a lot. But then again you would be an uncool artist if its only your family that gets to hear your beautiful music till you give up”.
This isn’t the first time Don Jazzy dishes out advice to artists.
Don Jazzy took to Twitter to give some wise words of advice to his fellow
Nigerian music artists, both up & coming as well as established
acts like himself.
Using the hashtag #WhenYouFinallyBlow, Don Jazzy who had 10 years
experience in the music game gave invaluable advice, like not using
drugs for “inspiration”, living within your means and staying humble.
