Music executive and talent boss, Michael Collins better known as Don Jazzy, has expressed regret at not signing singers, Teni and Simi.
In a recent interview, the founder of Mavins Record revealed that he had an opportunity to sign Teni, but he didn’t and he regrets his decision now.
Speaking on Simi, Don Jazzy revealed that he likes her and wishes he did sign her.
He also revealed that he had the opportunity to sign Davido, but he knew Davido would figure things in his own.
For Wizkid, he had an interest in him but Banky W got him first; he had also planned to sign Falz, but it come to reality.
“I like Simi, I didn’t sign her. I wish did. I like Teni, but I didn’t sign her. I wish I did. I had the opportunity of signing Davido but I didn’t because I kind of figured that I would be fine. Wizkid, obviously. I couldn’t because Banky W got him first. That would have been amazing. Falz, I love this work. We almost had a deal”.

In May, Don Jazzy penned an emotional note to celebrate his 11th year of establishment of Mavin Records.
Don Jazzy, on his Instagram page, recalled the lovely moments created by Mavin, and how it kept growing from strength to strength, breaking boundaries, and impacting positively.
The proud Mavin CEO appreciated his fans, brand partners, and well-wishers who supported the record label with love and made it one of the best. He also appreciated his signees who are doing well to represent the brand across the globe.
“My baby is 11 today. They say time flies when you are having fun. I cannot believe it’s 11 years already cos trust me it feels like yesterday.

Recall that Don Jazzy’s new signee, Bayanni, had revealed how Don Jazzy reached out to him.
In an interview, he recalled how a midnight message from Don Jazzy changed his life for good.
According to him, on the 22nd of December, 2019 he got a direct message on Instagram around 2:30 a.m. and when he woke up around 5:30 a.m., he saw the message.
Bayanni revealed that it took him 15 minutes to process the whole thing and reply.
Don Jazzy had seen his freestyle videos and had wanted to have a chat with him.
He described his first meeting with Don Jazzy as great.
