We thought the custody drama between Do2dtun and his estranged wife, Taiwo has been resolved but alas, the battle is still ongoing and now his kids have been flown abroad without his consent.
Refreshing your memory, for over a week now, Do2dtun has been dragging out his ex-wife and her family for denying him access to their children, with videos and evidence to support his claims.
Three days ago, he gave a 24-hour ultimatum to his ex-wife, her brother, and D’Banj, demanding access to the kids. When the ultimatum passed without resolution, he turned to social media, even conducting an emotional interview with Daddy Freeze in which he tearfully pleaded for access to his children.
His wife eventually released a statement, promising to grant him access to the kids. However, she also shared some details about their past.
Well, it seems her statement promising him he would see his kids was all facade as the media personality revealed that his kids have been taken abroad since June without his consent.
Taking to his Instagram page to cry out, Do2dtun admitted that it’s tough being a man or human being once you are different or overly edgy and get stereotyped.
Crying out, Do2dtun expressed sadness over how Nigeria’s system failed him as he vowed to keep fighting but in a different way.
Expressing gratitude to all who joined him in the fight, he stated that the news had made the day the saddest day in his life.
“It is so tough being a man or human being once you are different or overly edgy; you are stereotyped and it doesn’t matter if you did it or didn’t “Silence” is only golden when it’s a man. It’s (24 hours) and let me just tell it as it is; I have not seen my kids and they have been flown out of the country since June. This is the hardest thing to bear but I won’t fight here anymore. Oh, this system failed me. This is one of the saddest days of my life. I keep seeing things happen to some people but I never thought it would be me. It’s time to take a different dimension.
Be quiet! Take it off social media! I will and maybe one day, this heart that God sees, when it stops, it stopped and be remembered that I fought. I want to say a huge thank you to you all who gave your heart, your voice, and love to share my pain. Listen you have no idea how much this took from me.
I’ll be strong and for those who didn’t understand my pain; thank you too.
It’s time to move ahead and take the necessary action”.
Taking to his comment section, many noted how Taiwo’s action is considered abduction.
One Seze Kwesili wrote, “Dotun, I’m so sorry this happened. Write to embassy. This is considered child abduction by most countries signed to The Hague Convention to prevent stuff like this. Your children will be sent back to you. Most countries don’t play with International child abduction. This is so cruel. I’m so sorry
One Ken Episode wrote, “But let’s be honest why would a wife/mother fly out their kids to another country without the consent of the father/husband? Isn’t that a crime? I’m so sorry you’re going through this Big Brother
One Steve Head Master wrote, “If this was a woman it would have been a different ball game! Men are always stereotyped to be silent and endure all the horrible treatment in the world
One Tanti wrote, “At this stage! All I have to say is Taiwo is wicked! I don’t care to know what caused the issue between her and her ex-husband but using these kids as a weapon y fight Dotun is the biggest form of wickedness
One Adebukola wrote, “It’s obvious Taiwo knows Dotun loves his kids and she knows very well too that the only way to hurt him is through his kids. Stay strong Dotun
One Ataga Igbeyawo Oladun wrote, “Pls be strong, don’t relent. Keep lending your voice I beg u. No matter what ur ex does ur blood runs in ur daughters’ blood. Wisdom will be given unto u IJN”.
