Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon is in a grateful mood as he wins Silver Bird Trailblazer award.
Kemi Filani reports that the 16th edition of the Silverbird awards held on Friday, March 3rd, at the Convention Center, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde won the Silverbird Man of the Year award, while Deyemi Okanlawon won the Trailblazer award.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor, who has been in the news for the wrong reason, expressed gratitude to Silverbird TV as well as the public for the award.
Deyemi noted how the award has been a long time coming.
“So I just received Trailblazer Award at the Silverbird Man of the award.
It’s been a long time coming.
Thank you Silverbird. Thank you everyone”.
Deyemi added that the award night was the perfect way for him to end his day.
Sharing an advice with his fans, he told them to keep winning no matter what.
“So this happened last night… Perfect way to end a perfect day! Remember, no matter what, the only response is to keep winning!”.

The award winning is coming a day after Deyemi Okanlawon was dragged online for attacking HOR-elect, Thaddeus Attah.
Kemi Filani reported that Deyemi Okanlawon had written an open letter to Thaddeus Attah following Banky W’s defeat.
In the lengthy letter, Deyemi made it known that he voted for Banky W as he believes he would have been the best candidate for the job.
Deyemi expressed his concerns and worries over the high rate of tribal sentiments, cyber bullying, and herd mentality on all sides played in the electoral process.
Congratulatory him on his victory, he questioned what Thaddeus plans are for Eti-Osa as he has done thorough research about him and is yet to find anything about his plans for Eti-Osa.

Deyemi Okanlawon tenders an apology to Thaddeus Attah
However, following heavy backlash, Deyemi Okanlawon, via a video on his Instagram page, tendered an apology to the new HOR as well as those who were offended with his post.
Taking accountability for his actions, he noted how he could have chosen better words and shouldn’t have transferred his aggression on him.
He, however, reiterated that he desires to have an online interview with him at his convenient as a concern Eti-Osa resident and would be grateful if he respond to him.
