“He is unarguably the best performer in Africa” D’banj receives accolades amid Nigerian Idol criticisms

D'banj criticised for being on Nigerian Idol

Nigerians have come to the defence of one of Nigerian’s Legendary singer, Daniel Oyebanjo popularly referred to by his stage name D’banj.

The singer is currently trending on Twitter as he is been heavily criticised for his role on Nigerian Idol reality show.

A critic had queried the organisers of the show for wrongfully casting him as a judge.

Belittling him, he stated that if D’banj can be a judge on the show, it means anyone can literally apply for any role they desire.

He added that no one can be more unqualified than D’banj to take up any role.

The tweet reads, “If D’banj can be a judge on Nigerian idols, then you can apply for any role you so desire. Apply for that role. You cannot be more unqualified than D’banj”.

Following his tweets, many jumped into his comment section to defend D’banj.

Majority affirmed that D’banj is unarguably one of the best live performer in Nigeria.

Sosa, “I don’t think people realize that D’banj is arguably the best live performer Nigeria has ever produced. You just have to be at his shows to see for yourself. Once he’s done performing, everybody goes home”

Kemi Filani news recalls D’banj congratulated Wizkid over his ongoing music tour in London.

After Wizkid and Tems‘s energetic performance at the O2 Arena, which was filled up to the brim and had over 20,000 persons, the singer became a topic on all social media platforms as he made Nigerians proud and many took to their social media page to celebrate him.

In the same vein, Dbanj, in a post shared on his Instagram story, said he is proud of Wizkid and urged him to continue breaking new grounds.

He wrote: Congratulations to my brother @wizkiday. So proud of you bro. keep breaking new grounds. Afrobeat to the word.
