Drama as Davido unfollows Eniola Badmus, weeks after monetizing son’s death

It seems like the once envied friendship between singer, Davido and actress, Eniola Badmus has come to an abrupt end as he unfollows her on Instagram.

The singer and Eniola Badmus have been best of friends for years prior to his son’s death in October. Recall that Eniola Badmus made headlines for announcing his demise and exploiting the toddler’s death for monetary gains.

Kemi Filani did a check on Davido’s Instagram page and noticed that he has unfollowed Eniola. Further investigation showed that Davido had clicked the unfollow button on Eniola Badmus.

However, Eniola Badmus is yet to reciprocate, as she is still following the singer at the time of reporting.

Eniola Badmus gets into trouble for monetizing Ifeanyi’s death

Recall that Eniola was one of the first celebrities that announced the death of Ifeanyi in a cryptic message.

Moments after her post, Nigerians stormed the comment section, accusing her of using the boy’s death as a means of gaining more popularity. Others opined that it was insensitive to announce the death of a child before confirmation from the parents.

With things spiraling out of control, Eniola was forced to delete the post on Instagram and Facebook.

The 38-year-old also came under fire after posting now-deleted videos about the death of Ifeanyi on her YouTube channel.

Eniola had created over 4 contents centered on Ifeanyi’s death.

Many who were quick to view the content before she took it down, mercilessly dragged her on social media.

Eniola Badmus hails Davido and Chioma

However, Eniola had proven thrice that there was no bad blood between her and the Davido as she celebrated him on his birthday and wedding.

On his 30th birthday in November, Eniola had said a word of prayer for him.

She wrote, “Happy Birthday to the strongest!! Continue to live long Oriade @davido. God got you and I dey with you for life. Welcome to the 3rd floor”.

When the news of Davido and Chioma’s wedding broke out, Eniola Badmus had reacted to it, hailing the couple.

Sharing a photo of them with Governor Adeleke and Chioma’s sister, she captioned it with,

“001 X 002”.

Davido unfollows Otedola

Eniola Badmus, isn’t the only celebrity Davido has unfollowed following his son’s death.

Kemi Filani recalls that days after the death of his son, Davido had unfollowed billionaire business man, Femi Otedola and his daughter, DJ Cuppy on Instagram.

Davido also deleted and unpinned posts about his music festival.

This came days after the billionaire businessman celebrated a lavish birthday party in a yacht alongside his family members, while Davido, a family friend mourned his first son, who got drowned a few days after his third birthday which was on October 20.
