Davido trade words with Burna Boy’s fan for wishing him death

Afrobeat singer, Davido has had a hot exchange with fans of his rival, Burna Boy for wishing him death.

A die-hard fan of Burna Boy had taken to the micro-blogging platform to take a swipe at Davido.

While sharing a clip of Burna Boy’s packed concert last night, he compared his concert to Davido’s burial.

According to him, Davido’s burial which would be free wouldn’t be as packed as Burna Boy’s concert.

“Even Davido’s burial that would be free can’t pack this crowd. Know ur mate”.

Replying, Davido questioned why he would wish him death.

“So u want me to die? Reason being? What have I personally done to you to have you wish death on me… Anyways I’m not going anywhere! I WILL LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST”.

Another fan urged the other tweep to tag Davido’s mother in the grave.

“Tag his mum in her grace too”.

Davido replied, “So sad what stanship has turned to. Both within and external… My mama wey don die over 20 years ago what’s her own in this matter??”.

Davido calls Burna Boy a new cat

The Genesis of the drama between Davido and Burna Boy stemmed from one of Davido’s recent interviews where he referred to Burna as a new cat.

Kemi Filani reported that Davido had referred to Burna Boy as an upcoming artiste in an interview.

In the viral clip, Davido spoke on how he and Wizkid were the first to blow things up and expressed joy in seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Mayorkun, Asake, and more also doing well.

“Me and Wizkid were one of the first to blow it up, it feels good seeing the new cats coming up like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, a lot
of new cats coming, killing it, Asake that’s on my album, so yeah I think the future of Afrobeats is in good hands.”

Speaking out, Burna Boy who was unbothered by his comment shared photos from his highly successful London concert.

The singer made history as he sold out 80,000 capacity venue.

In a shady post, Burna stated that uniting people from all walks of life has always been his dream.

The Grammy singer expressed gratitude for making it possible for him at his biggest show to date.
