Psquare’s fallout: “This is a misplaced priority” – Daniel Regha slams Peter Obi over visit to Paul Okoye and his brother

Nigerian Twitter personality Daniel Regha has slammed former presidential candidate Peter Obi over his visit to music star Paul Okoye and his elder brother, Jude Okoye.

Kemi Filani reported that following the fallout of Paul and his twin brother, Peter, the Labor Party presidential candidate had visited Paul and Jude probably to reconcile them with their elder brother. Paul shared photos from his visit as he thanked the politician and prayed for more blessings.

Reacting to it, Daniel Regha slammed Peter Obi for the visit, questioning if he couldn’t talk to the Okoye brothers over the phone rather than paying them a visit and broadcasting it.

He noted how the politician was making time for Psquare clout-chasing drama, yet there are pressing issues to be addressed in the country. He ended his tweet by calling his behaviour a misplaced priority.

“So Peter Obi couldn’t talk to the Okoye brothers over the phone? He had to visit ’em & do it in front of a camera. Making out time for P-Square’s clout-chasing drama when there are more pressing issues to be addressed (as an opposition) is a misplaced priority”.

Kemi Filani reported in June last year, controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus alleged that there was a brewing war between the Psquare brothers and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, because of the joint funds being allegedly diverted by Jude Okoye. She claimed that the EFCC was involved in the issue, and Jude was detained.

In July, Instagram blogger Cutie Juls alleged that Paul and his elder brother, Jude Okoye, had been arrested by the commission. Paul confirmed it as he took to his Instagram to rejoice after getting clearance from the commission.

In an interview, he opened up on his relationship with his twin brother, recounting how Peter got him and their older brother, Jude Okoye, arrested by the commission in December 2023. Luckily for him, after a thorough investigation conducted by the commission, he was declared innocent of all the allegations levelled against him. Paul also confirmed that Peter was the one who arrested their older brother, Jude Okoye.

Addressing Paul’s interview on Monday, Peter debunked the claims as he stated that he only filed a petition with the commission against their elder brother after discovering he was diverting their money into a secret account which he shared with his wife. He made it known that he never called for the arrest of his twin brother.

The beef between the brothers is coming barely two years after their bitter fallout. Recall that in December 2021, the internet went wild as Psquare put aside their differences after five years of feuding. The news of their reconciliation broke out and was on the lips of many for weeks after they followed each other on all social media platforms and were seen hanging out together.
