Twitter media personality, Daniel Regha has stirred the internet with his new revelation about award-winning singer, Wizkid.
In an interview with Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up’ housemate for her podcast, Doyin’s Corner, he stated that Wizkid is still an upcoming GOAT (which means Greatest Of All Time). He stated that Davido is also an upcoming as he compares them to Olamide, who he believes has made more impact than the duo.
Speaking on Shallipopi, he said he doesn’t see the upcoming singer as an artist, but rather as an opportunist, so jumped into the industry for money.
He went on to note how Ayra Starr wouldn’t have made waves in the industry if she wasn’t signed to Don Jazzy’s record label, Mavins.
Touching on Grammy singer, Tyla, he stated that her hit song, Water is a song for Ogbanje.
“Wizkid to me, is still a GOAT in the making, forget all the Grammys and the awards.
Olamide for example, has more hits than Wizkid and Davido. He has championed more artists than these two combined. Wizkid is like a GOAT in the making, Davido is also a GOAT in the making.
If Ayra Starr didn’t have someone like Don Jazzy backing her up, I don’t think she would have gone this far.
I don’t see Shallipopi as an artist, I feel like he just jumped into the music industry for a quick cash grab. I haven’t seen him release a single of music. Look at the songs that are winning Grammys now like Tyla -Water, that is a song for Ogbanje”.
This isn’t the first time Daniel Regha has criticized Wizkid. Weeks back, Daniel had slammed the award-winning singer over his social media tirades, distancing himself from Afrobeat.
Taking to the X-platform, Daniel Regha expressed that Wizkid was talking too much for an artist who was still struggling to drop hits. He further revealed that it was very insulting of him to downgrade Afrobeat all in the name of making a new album or evolving. He also expressed that the world listened to his last EP and that he had no lyrical directions.
He advised that even if Wizkid wanted to switch from Afrobeat songs to another genre, he could do that without being disrespectful to Afrobeat.
In other news, Daniel had knocked Burna Boy over his constant bragging, after revealed his plans for his vengeful plans for his colleagues whom he hates.
Taking to his comment section, Daniel slammed him over his unending bragging as he noted how his entire net worth is some people’s shopping money.
He reminded the singer of his come-up story as he admonished him to be a positive change to the public through his voice, songs, and lifestyle.
