Media personality, Daddy Freeze has slammed religious leaders over their silence on Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner, Ilebaye’s promise to pay tithe.
Ilebaye in a video that made rounds had vowed to give N12 million tithe to the church from her prize money.
Though, the reality star, later claimed in an interview that people misconstrued her words. However, she would still be paying tithe to the church, but it wouldn’t be N12 million.
Reacting to it, Daddy Freeze noted the hypocrisy in religious leaders as they were always quick and outspoken in condemning the reality show but have stayed silent to Ilebaye’s promise to pay tithe.
He stated that many of them worship Mammon rather than God.
“Many pastors say Big Brother na immoral show. Ilebaye brings N12m tithe from N120M prize money, everybody quiet. Mammon is the God most of them worship”.
Reacting to it, one Abbey Moore wrote, “Loud it again, they need serious medical intervention, not spiritual cleansing. People should tell the girl her relatives need 12 million more than any pastors. She should give the money to her family to invest in them
One Estom Stitches wrote, “I swear after she kissed and flirt smart. As a man of God, you go still get mind collect that 12 million. Na only Daddy Kumiyi no fit collect am. The rest, I can’t trust
One Dshay Wen wrote, “If you are not sensitive you will never understand Freeze. This table ehn all pastor go fall o
One Bella Saint wrote, “12m is too much. I rather give to my parents and let them pray for me
One Lolly Plumz wrote, “It’s just misplaced priority. There’s someone in her family that doesn’t need up to that 10%”.
Recall that the self-styled ‘Gen Z Baddie’ edged five other finalists to emerge winner of the BBNaija All Stars season on October 1, 2023.
Ilebaye was presented with a cheque for N120 million and a brand-new car at the prize presentation ceremony.
Following her win, Ilebaye made it clear that it wasn’t out of pity but due to her belief that it was her time to shine, guided by the grace of God.
In a recent interview, she revealed a mantra she lives by, touching on the sense of isolation she felt post-victory.
She candidly admitted that she had expected more congratulatory messages, especially from her fellow housemates.
She revealed that she is consistently expressing her happiness and excitement for others’ successes.
Since her win, the reality star hasn’t only shot to fame but is currently being recognized by Nigerian celebrities. The likes of Davido, Tacha, and others celebrated with her.
