“I am happy to announce my appointment as a Creative Goodwill Ambassador for the African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG) and Economic Community Africa Sixth Region (ECASR).
The African Union has six regions: North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa, and the African diaspora. The African diaspora is the sixth region and is made up of people of African descent living outside of the continent. The diaspora includes African Americans, Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Latin Americans, and Black Canadians.
My appointment as a Creative Goodwill Ambassador is to champion the power of creative expressions and engage the African youth in finding their own creative voice globally”.
Many flooded his comment section with congratulatory messages.
This good news is coming amid his marital drama with his wife of over 2 decades, Mabel Makun.
Mabel had hinted that all wasn’t well in her marriage as she cried out over threats to her life.
The interior designer who was fed up with the threats revealed her plans to report it to the police. She raised an alarm that should anything happen to her, there was one person to be held responsible, though she didn’t disclose who the person was.
In a follow-up post, Mabel revealed that she has been abused mentally and all around for way too long. She stated that now she had enough of it.
Kemi Filani dug further into it and noticed that Ayo Makun and his wife had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Reacting to the tantrums, many assumed that the couple was trying to create publicity for their movie, Merry Men 3, which is to be released on Netflix.
Their marital drama is coming as a surprise as just a few weeks back, AY had sung the praises of his wife, appreciating her for her selfless work.
He revealed that he came home to see all the good work she had been doing to get the home kicking again while adding that men need a good woman like his wife with a strong personality, who is also gentle at heart, reliable, and dutiful.
The couple had even celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in November. AY had reflected on the past and trials of their humble beginnings and present which is marked with the hustle and bustle of sweetness, bitterness, pains, and gains.
Noting how it has been 20 years of meeting his wife and 15 years of being married, he marked their union with beautiful wishes of love strength, patience, and tolerance.
Mabel, on her part, had reaffirmed her love for the comedian, stating that it is forever to go with him.
