Comedienne and actress Princess has revealed how she got threats for speaking up for her daughter, who actor, Baba Ijesha molested.
Following the court verdict on the case, media personality Chude Jideonwo released unaired footage from his interview with Princess during the heat of the scandal, where she spoke out on the death threats and insults she has been receiving.
According to Chude Jideonwo, he never released the footage for fear that it would affect the court proceedings.
In the video published late Thursday, the comedienne noted that she had regretted speaking out about the case earlier.
When asked if she felt regret, Princess said, “Now, I don’t, but in the first two to three weeks, I did.”
She noted regret because “they put a bounty on my head. They wanted to kill me.”
She added that many Nollywood practitioners she held in high esteem disappointed her with their stance against Baba Ijesha.
Princess added, “Some people I respected so much, I found out that they were pushing him (Baba Ijesha).”
Following the sentence, the comedienne had taken to her Instagram page to write, “God is not man,” as she shared a video of herself praising God.
Kemi Filani news recalls hours after the court verdict was read, Princess took to Instagram to rejoice over his sentencing.
Sharing a TikTok video of her dancing, she wrote, “God is not man”.
