Comedian Ankara Gucci has reacted to the arrest of a Yahoo boy whom many fans of his say looks very much like him.
Ankara Gucci was alerted after the fans tagged him to a post shared on the official Instagram page of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, where the Yahoo boy’s picture was shared.
In response, Ankara Gucci wrote:
“Wich kind nonsense be that one. Why una Go dey tag me for Efcc page sey this guy resemble me … abi una no see his own name?
Abi sheh u don see me do that kind hair style before? … esho ara yin ooo . Mo fi olohun oba mi be yin ooo”.
Ogungbemi Jogo was arrested alongside Olorunwa Okikiola and Olurunfemi Olamide in agric area of Ilorin.
Other suspects namely: Kayode Obanewo a.k.a Samantha James, Muhammed Ademola a.ka Catherine Smith, Yusuf Rasheed a.k.a Rebecca Moore and Apata Oluwakayode a.k.a Hanna Cole, were arrested on June 11, 2019 at Mandate Estate Phase 2, behind Irewolede area of Ilorin.
During interrogation, Obanewo confessed to committing the crime.
According to him, “I was arrested on the 11th of June 2019 at Mandate Estate Phase 2, but before the day of my arrest, I met a friend who introduced me to internet fraud. He gave me a laptop which was the reason behind my arrest. I saw one email address on the laptop and started using it to chat with some people at night when I come back from work,” he said.
