The United Nations officials proudly welcomed popular Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, today, to their Headquarters in New York.
The Grammy award winning super star who was the first-ever African artiste to hit 200 million streams on music streaming platform, Boomplay has a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, in the same city.
He was accompanied by his mom manager, Bose Ogulu. The UN Deputy Secretary-General, Nigeria’s Amina Mohammed, was on ground to welcome them. She released photos of their visit, praising the singer for using his talent to inspire young people around the world.
Mohammed wrote on her Twitter page on Thursday morning, wrote, “I had the opportunity to welcome my compatriot @burnaboy here at the @UN HQ. Burna continues to inspire young people around the world with his amazing talents”.
