Bukunmi Oluwasina wakes up to 96 missed calls after AMVCA nomination

Jakanriwo becomes the first Yoruba movie to bag double nominations at AMVCA

Nollywood actress, Bukunmi Oluwasina is no doubt over the moon and overjoyed as her 2021 movie, Jankariwo makes history as the first Yoruba movie to get double nominations at AMVCA.

Bukunmi Oluwasina narrated how she woke up to 96 missed calls, which made her scared at first, but when she heard the news, she was over excited.

Bukunmi revealed that before receiving the good news, her mind has been praising God for no reason.

According to her, she screamed in delight and told her husband, who told her that her movie got two nominations.

The actress who couldn’t believe that her movie got two nominations argued it out with her husband until she rechecked and saw it.

This is a great feat for her as in the history of AMVCA, no Yoruba movie has gotten two nominations, Best Indigenous Yoruba movie and best supporting actor.

Bukunmi noted how it took her 7 years to get back on the award show.

She showed her appreciation to her cast and crew and to her ever supportive fans.
