Bukola Saraki’s biography
His full name is Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and he was born on the 19th December 1962 in London to former Governor of Kwara and Senator Olusola Saraki and Florence.
The record revealed that Bukola Saraki’s father was a member of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) and served as a senate leader in the Second Republic between 1979 and 1983.
Saraki lost his dad on the 14th of November 2012 in Ikoyi, Lagos. Bukola Saraki has a sister named Gbemisola Saraki, who is also a politician and a current member of the All Progressive Congress APC.

Education
Although Bukola Saraki was born in the UK, but he had his childhood in Kwara state; the former Senate President was a student at Corona School, Victoria Island, where he bagged his First School Leaving Certificate.
Upon graduation from Corona School, Saraki proceeded to King’s College in Lagos State, where he bagged his Senior School Certificate. He soon gained admission to Cheltenham College in the United Kingdom, where he obtained a College and High School certificate.
Saraki then moved to London Hospital Medical College of the University of London, where he bagged a degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1987.
Career
Upon graduation, Saraki Bukola joined Rush Green Hospital, Essex, in London as a medical officer and was there for a year before he returned to Nigeria.
On returning to the country, Saraki became a member of Societe Generale Bank (Nig) Ltd in 1990 and was the director for ten years before after which he joined Nigerian politics.
During the first term of former President Olusegun Obasnajo, he appointed Saraki as the Special Assistant (SA) to the President on Budget, where he was in charge of the formulation and implementation of several key economic policies for Nigeria.
From there, Bukola Saraki went on to become the Governor of Kwara and served for eight years from 2003 to 2011. Upon completion of his term as Governor, he joined the senate and was there till 2019, where he was replaced as Ahmad Lawan, who is the current Senate President.
