Since Lifestime’s docuseries ‘Surviving R Kelly’ hit the airwaves, many top musicians who have collaborated with R Kelly have threatened to remove the songs they have with the RnB legend off streaming platforms. Some of such musicians include Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Omarion of B2k etc.
According to them, they don’t want to be associated with R Kelly who has been accused of sexually abusing underaged girls.
However, while they may think it is best to take down any music that has to do with the singer, they should also know that this may lead to a certain danger whereby anything at all that has to do with him will become a target for attacks.
If these celebrities and their influence can be calling for a boycott of R Kelly’s production, then irrational people might extend the same to his kids who might become a subject of ridicule and attacks.
People should learn to separate his music from his alleged crimes. If he’s guilty, then he should do time in jail and not his music.
