Former Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ Housement Cross has shared how the South African police arrested him for violating a curfew.
In the post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, Cross revealed that the South Africa Police stopped him, and he was unaware there was a curfew, and they took him to their office.
In the bid to facilitate his release, Cross said he lied to them about having a South African name ‘ Siyabonga’, and it was his first time visiting the country.
Cross added that he had thought they would not free him, but they later released him, and he is a free man now.
The post reads: So SA, I got stopped by your police. Apparently, there’s a curfew. They took me to their office. So guys I tell then say I get SA name called Siyabonga and my first time in SA and they smile and I think they wan let us go ooo Omo Japa Jaoa. My bed they call me thanks guys we free now.
Kemi Filani News recalls Cross in a recent interview said his nude photos and video which surfaced online was a mistake and didn’t know some of the features on Snapchat had changed.
Cross added that he’s human and likes to wear his heart on his sleeves, and the whole entertainment, social media, and celebrity lifestyle is new to him.
According to Cross, the celebrity lifestyle comes with many dos and don’ts, and it’s becoming overwhelming for him.
In his words: So it was a mistake, it was just a mistake of a thing. And before I knew it I quickly deleted it. It was a simple mistake. People should understand the type of person I am, first of all, I am a human being and me I wear my heart on my sleeves. So this whole entertainment, social media thing and lifestyle is still new to me.
I’m trying to get the concept about ‘do this don’t do this’ its choking me, I just want to be me. I just want to live how I have always wanted to be.
I’m just a guy that just wants to have a good time and in the process make a lot of money to provide for his family. So it was just a simple mistake, so anybody that is saying anything out of it, Ndooo.”
