Elsie Okpocha, the wife of Comedian, Bright Okpocha better known on stage as Basketmouth, has lashed out at those pitting the music industry against singer, Davido.
Kemi Filani news reported on April 1st that Davido made history as the first African to be featured on FIFA’s soundtrack.
Many expected celebrities to celebrate the singer’s big win but were amazed as they all shunned him.
Reacting to it, Elsie questioned if Davido’s fans know what is going on in people’s lives.
She pointed out how the country is in a crisis following the scarcity of fuel, insecurity, and the opening of Ikoyi tolls.
Elsie blasted the Twitter user who instigated that the music industry was against the singer.
She wrote, “Someone said the entire Music Industry is against Davido, people will just wake up and just tweet rubbish, God forbid! People didn’t post his World cup song and the conclusion is nobody loves him???? Do you know the problems people are facing in this God’s forsaken country??? When last did you buy diesel?? Did you hear people were robbed and killed recently? Did you hear about the people that drowned because they were running from Bandits?? Did you hear our lives are going to be made more miserable when Ikoyi to starts?? Do you know the amount of a paint bucket of crayfish now??? Please I beg you, don’t be unfortunate”.
Kemi Filani news recalls Davido cried out over the hate in the music industry.
The singer pointed out how no artiste celebrated his newest achievement or posted the news on their Instagram pages.
Many were expecting to see the likes of Don Jazzy, 2baba, Tiwa Savage and others celebrate his win but they all shunned him.
Crying out, Davido agreed when a Twitter user also made the same observation.
The Twitter user with the handle, Sonjoe Kutuh spotted how no Nigerian artiste posted about Davido’s FIFA song.
He complained that if it was Wizkid, everyone would be bowing for me.
Davido replied him, “ME vs THE INDUSTRY!!!!! I LOVE IT!!”.
