Basket Mouth becomes latest Nigerian artist to sign deal with U.S record label Empire

Talented Nigerian comedian, actor and singer, Bright Okpocha has added a new feather to his cap as he becomes the latest Nigerian artist to join the Empire record label.

Basket Mouth made this public after he shared some photos of him signing the new deal with the US-based record label.

The A-list comedian in his caption asked his music producer, Duktor Sett if he was ready to make more music.

Hey guys, did I mention that I’ve been signed by @empire? Well…I am. Time to make more beautiful music. @DuktorSett you ready?,” Basketmouth said.

Recall that in 2020, Basket Mouth dropped an album dubbed “Yabasi”, which was a hit and with Seun Kuti describing it as faultless.

EMPIRE Distribution, Records and Publishing Inc. is an American distribution company and record label founded in 2010 by Ghazi Shami and headquartered in San Francisco, California, with offices in New York City, London, Nashville, and Atlanta

Nigerian artists already signed to the label include Olamide, Fireboy DML, and Kizz Daniel.
