Banky W wins PDP primary election re-run in Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos

Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W, has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary election re-run in Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos.

Mr Wellington won the election with 24 votes against his challenger Sam Aiboni, who scored only five votes.

The rerun was scheduled for today, Monday, June 6 after the first primary last month was cancelled. 

The artiste is seen as a favourite to clinch the ticket since he joined the main opposition party earlier this year.

Recall that the Nigerian talented musician turned politician, had called on his friends to support his political ambition and donate to his campaign account.

Banky also asked for prayers via his social media platforms.

He wrote: “If you have friends running for office, please pray for them and donate to their campaign. You have idea how draining this process is.”

His colleague in the music industry, Samklef reacted to this, he wrote,  “Banky w ( Pdp candidate ) want Nigerians to pray for politicians  friends wey wan run for office say make una donate for him campaign say e no easy..How una see am?”
