Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, popularly known as Bad Boy Timz, has recounted how “assassins” shot him in the eye when he was nine.
In an interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Shopsydoo, Bad Boy Timz narrated how the gunmen, who ambushed a car conveying his family in the Mushin area of Lagos, started shooting sporadically and one of the bullets hit him in the eye.
He said: “I got shot in my eye when I was nine years old. They were assassins, they didn’t even stop the car, they just shot the bullets. It was not a robbery.
“Me, my mom, my dad, and my immediate elder brother. It was four of us in the car. The incident happened in Lagos, Mushin to be precise. They just overtook us and started shooting. They were targeting my dad’s head, he dodged and the bullet went straight into my eye.”
Timz, who said the assailants were never apprehended, disclosed that he will be undergoing another eye surgery soon.
Singer Slami Ifeanyi shot dead in broad daylight
Recall that late last year, Nigerian singer and songwriter, Slami Ifeanyi was confirmed dead.
He was reportedly shot dead on Sunday morning, November 27, by yet-to-identified gunmen.
It was gathered that the 31-year-old former Mr. Anambra Universe was driving alone in his newly acquired Lexus 330 when he was attacked and killed at Umubere, Awka area of Anambra State.
According to a source, “He was driving his new car which he bought just two weeks ago when it happened. Although, we don’t know why he was attacked but it looks like a targeted attack.“
