Nollywood actor and ace comedian, Ayo Makun has addressed Julius Agwu’s claims of him being a witch.

Every year Julius Agwu always holds a concert on Easter Sunday which clashes with Ay Makun’s Easter Sunday concert in Lagos.

When he called the comedian to query him, he claimed that AY hung up on him.

Following his interview, Julius also went on stage to label AY as a witch as he stated that after the call, he fell sick.

Reacting to the allegation in an interview with Talk Show host, Teju Babyface, AY expressed how pained he was when he heard his statement.

He recounted how he and his wife stood by Julius Agwu during his health failure.

“It’s really painful to wake up and friends become enemies. Julius Agwu called me a witch on stage, someone forwarded the clip to me. And he had said something earlier about me stealing his date and taking Easter Sunday. I didn’t remember at what point it was his right to have or own a day, I didn’t see it anywhere. I was dealing with that and didn’t say a word.

And I saw the clip and said No I can’t take this. Do you know how painful it is, this is someone I was there for him when all the health issues started. My wife and I would go there, make arrangements for him, I was there for me. I can’t go into details and then I woke up and saw the clip”.

“If I have to go to my grave not sitting with any of these guys, I will be happy” Ayo Makun speaks on his futile attempt to reconcile with Basketmouth and Julius Agwu

Ay Makun reveals the genesis of his long-standing beef with Basketmouth

Recall that AY, in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, went down memory lane in 2006 when he was still a bachelor and trying to earn a living for himself. He said he stood in for Basketmouth at an event however he didn’t receive his pay of thirty thousand Naira which was gold at the time.

He also recounted how he was embarrassed and humiliated at Basketmouth’s wedding.

According to him, he had attended his wedding with his wife but was shocked when he wasn’t allowed to enter the event, as his name wasn’t on the list of guests.

Surprisingly, his wife was allowed to enter as her name was on the guest list. Since her husband couldn’t go in, his wife turned down the invite.

He further revealed how his name would be kicked out of events because Basketmouth was in attendance.

However, Basketmouth had something different to say.

Basketmouth addresses beef with AY

During a podcast with the Honest Bunch crew, Basketmouth disclosed what transpired between himself and AY that made him call off their friendship.

Basket mouth revealed that he and AY had never been friends and they have never had any close or personal relationship with him.

He also disclosed that he came in contact with AY through comedy king, Ali Baba, and he had never mentored him before.

Basketmouth claimed something else, which he will not disclose, happened between him and AY, and no client was involved in their feud.

The father of three alleged that AY was using lies about their feud to promote his upcoming show, stating that is his usual style.

However, a photo from years back proved Basketmouth wrong as the two famous comedians had once posed for a photo.
