Nollywood actress Omotunde Adebowale, who is popularly known as Adaku in a sit down interview, addressed the whole issue between the late Aderounmu Adejumoke’s brother and Funke Akindele.
Adaku started off by saying that Adejumoke had stayed in her house for five days after her movie premiere, and that she knows what she encountered while she was there, but she can not say it openly.
She also stated that if the late actress had gotten love and support from home like her relatives were claiming, some things would not have happened to her.
Adaku also said that last year, she had a conversation with Adejumoke, and she seemed a bit out of sorts. She claimed that the actress went on a rant, saying that she would call her out, stating that her fellow actors don’t care about her.
During the conversation, Adaku said she was confused as to why she was saying the things she said, and had to ask her if she was okay. She said she realized at that point that her actions were a cry for help.
A stray bullet hit Adejumoke’s family when Adaku said that while they were dragging Funke Akindele for not helping the late actress, didn’t they realize that she was their responsibility?
Adaku gave an instance from her own personal life, saying that whenever she’s depressed, her elder sister travels all the way from London to Nigeria, in order to serve as a support system to her.
The crux of Adaku’s conversation was that Funke Akindele didn’t owe the late Adejumoke anything, and that her family should have taken care of her.
Aderounmu Adejumoke’s brother went on a rant shortly after her death, calling out Funke Akindele for showing fake love by mourning his sister on social media. This led to an onslaught of insults towards Funke Akindele from netizens.
