Actress, Hadiza Abubakar slams those who started following Rico Swavey on IG after his death

Nollywood actress, Hadiza Abubakar has slammed those who follow people on social media after they pass away.

Abubakar’s call out comes after some people started following the Instagram account of the late Patrick Fakoya better known as Rico Swavey.

Kemi Filani news reported that Rico passed away in the early hours of Thursday, 13th October, after be was involved in a ghastly accident.

While celebrities, friends and fans took to their various social media accounts to mourn, Abubakar noted that the number of his followers Rico had increased.

She wonders why immediately after the death of a celebrity, his or her followers online surge significantly. She asked why people don’t follow them before they die.

She wrote:
“Some Nigerians are SICK WALLAHI!!

“Y’all have a thing for following people the moment news of their demise breaks out!
Why not follow them when alive?
Rico was on 243k!
After his demise, now it’s 247k
