Talented Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawo has taken to social media to celebrate his birthday with lovely photos.
Unarguably, Deyemi Okanlawon has become one of the forces to reckon with in the movie industry, and his acting prowess has earned him notable lead roles in movies.
In the post shared on his Instagram page, Deyemi Okanlawon described himself as a soldier who has come a long way in life, and there’s so much more ahead of him.
He wrote: Happy Birthday Soldier… you’ve come a very long way and there’s so much more ahead!
Kemi Filani News recalls former Presidential aide Reno Omokri slammed Deyemi Okanlawon after advising him to stop using the word ‘local’ to refer to Nigerians.
Deyemi Okanlawon had tackled Reno Omokri for referring to Augustine Eguavoen, the new coach of the Super Eagle as local.
This comes following the performance of the Super Eagle in the ongoing AFCON, and Reno Omokri seemed impressed with the job of the coach.
According to Reno Omokri, Augustine Eguavoen, a local coach, is doing what Gernot Rohr, a foreign coach, could not do during his time.
Reno Omokri added that sometimes what people are looking for outside is actually in the pocket and commended the Super Eagle for making Nigerians proud.
Reacting to the post, Deyemi Okanlawon tackled Reno Omokri, urging him to replace the word ‘Local’ with homegrown or home base because he is Nigerian enough to know that local is an insult and causes devaluing.
Responding to Deyemi Okanlawon, Reno Omokri, in a post shared on his Instagram page a few hours ago, averred that where he grew up, the word ‘Local’ is not an insult and ‘Foreign is not a compliment too.
Reno Omokri said Augustine Eguavoen isn’t complaining about his choice of world, noting he has watched an interview where Augustine Eguavoen used the word ‘Local players’. Hence Deyemi should stop drinking panadol for another man’s headache.
