The experience simply reminded me of all the random times Nigerian celebrities have appeared on American television shows, so you know I had to make a list.
Here are 6 Nigerian celebrities who appeared in American tv shows but you didn’t notice.
- Karen Igho
The winner of Big Brother Africa 2011, Karen Igho appeared on the most recent episode of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, as of this writing.

- DJ Cuppy
Guess who appeared by chance during an episode of the E! reality show House of DVF? Yup! DJ Cuppy, a popular Nigerian DJ and musician, you guessed it.

Cuppy was the official DJ for the 2015 DVF Awards, and some of the contestants styled her outfit, so we watched as they attempted to dress Cuppy and saw her reactions throughout the episode.
- Boma
Boma, a controversial Big Brother Naija contestant, is another celebrity who has appeared on an American television show. The Big Brother Naija star appeared in The Blacklist, one of the most popular American television shows. People were surprised by the news and responded by tweeting about it.

One user, @Dammiedammie35, tweeted about it and said “Is Boma on the blacklist? What about Raymond Reddington’s blacklist? Omohhhh, this guy is fire!” Another user, @Ormainy, tweeted, “Boma is now saying all the things some of you say he’s lying about o! He never used the poor card. He has mentioned the New York Film Academy and Hollywood films. Let us try not to pass judgment on these people too quickly. Give them the benefit of the doubt.”
- Dencia
Dencia, a singer and CEO of a skincare brand, is another celebrity who has appeared on an American television show. During an episode of the ZEUS reality television show The Real Blac Chyna, singer Dencia appeared as Blac Chyna’s friend, and the two women discussed various topics ranging from colourism to money.
