1. 93 Days
93 Days is a Nigerian film based on the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Nigeria. It focuses on the brave men and women who made sacrifices to keep the Ebola virus at bay in Nigeria.
It is especially dedicated to a well-known Nigerian physician, Ameyo Adadevoh. For her critical role in preventing the virus from becoming a nationwide epidemic.
Doctors were on strike during the Ebola outbreak, which could have resulted in a catastrophic health catastrophe if Ameyo Adadevoh’s efforts had not been successful.
Adadevoh died in quarantine from the Ebola virus on August 19, 2014.
Issakaba is a Nollywood film from 2000 that is based on genuine events. “Issakaba” is an anagram for the Bakassi lads, a vigilante gang that fought against crimes like armed robbery and murder.
It is also based on the war against Eddy Nawgu, a popular and powerful magician who was accused of being a false prophet who supported thieves, performed human sacrifices, and was in possession of illegal firearms.
As in the film, the Bakassi youngster failed numerous times before ultimately apprehending the sorcerer.
Apaye is a Nollywood film that depicts the narrative of Elder Irene Yepayeye Uriah-Dieah, a real-life relative of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.
The plot revolves around a mother’s love. It depicts Yepayeye’s struggle to overcome numerous obstacles as a single mother of six children.
Despite significant hurdles, she was successful in ensuring that her children were moral and had a nice life.
4. Trials Of Igho
The film Trials of Igho is based on a genuine story. Chris Eneaji directed this movie.
It relates the story of a guy imprisoned for murdering a man who had slept with his wife. When he was released from prison, he discovered he had killed the wrong person.
He then resolved to go for the correct person this time, even if it meant spending the rest of his life in prison.
It is a tragic story that was acted exactly as it happened in reality, which is why the film never had a good conclusion.
Oyenusi is a Nollywood film that stars Odunlade Adekola. It relates the narrative of Ishola Oyenusi, a hardened and notorious Nigerian criminal who formerly terrified a large number of people.
Oyenusi, who began as a phoney doctor, went on to commit murder, carjacking, and armed robbery.
He was extremely powerful because he had been spiritually reinforced.
He was arrested and jailed multiple times, but he continued escaping.
This happened regularly until he was captured and sentenced to death in 1971.
He and his gang members were executed by firing squad.
