Nigerian filmmaker Kemi Adetiba is still basking in the euphoria of her star-studded wedding and has taken to social media to express appreciation to legendary singer 2face Idibia.

Kemi Adetiba and her lover Oscar Heman-Ackah on Saturday 23rd April, tied the knot in a beautiful wedding displaying different cultural outfits.

Taking to his Instagram page to share a video of 2face’s performance at the event, Kemi Adetiba said being serenaded by the legendary singer is something they shall remember till they are old and grey.

According to Kemi Adetiba, to say the performance was special doesn’t even describe it and couldn’t have been more perfect.

In her words: To be serenaded during our first dance by the legend that is @official2baba is truly something we shall remember till we’re old and Grey. SPECIAL doesn’t quite describe it either. It couldn’t have been more perfect. THANK YOU 2baba.

Now, @oscarhemanackah knows how much I love the gorgeous “DUDUKE” song, performed by the amazingly talented @symplysimi. In fact the song plays an integral part of our journey to now, so having you, Simi, take time out to personally remind us with a special performance was just MAGICAL Thank you, Simi

Kemi Filani News recalls Kemi Adetiba shared the story behind the unconventional gele she tied for her traditional wedding over the weekend.

Kemi Adetiba’s unconventional gele to her wedding occasion got many talking because it gele screamed extra!!!

While some fancied the creativity and uniqueness of the gele, some were of the opinion that it was rather outrageous and bogus.

Now shedding light on why she went for the unconventional gele style, Kemi Adetiba via Instagram wrote:

“First look for our magical #UndeniablyYours2022 celebration was designed and created by the amazing @hertunba. From the moment Florentina sent me the design sketch, I knew I would love the aso oke and lace dress, and she did not disappoint.

Being my first outfit of the celebration, I knew it had to be a statement in my own language. It was. And to add exclamation marks to this statement dress, I briefed @vaavavoom weeks prior that I wanted my gele to “high-five” the sky. I wanted a satellite dish!! I wanted to be the tallest person in the room because of my gele. And I wanted it to be one to remember. A real “King of Brides” crowning glory!!! Did VAVA understand the assignment? Or could the gele have been bigger?” she explained.
