2023 Elections: 'No one should be bullied to support anyone' - BBNaija's Erica

Big Brother Naija Lockdown disqualified ex-housemate, Erica Nlewedim has lent her voice against bullying people to support a particular candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Speaking against the act which has since become a norm among some social media users, Erica noted that as long as the country practices the democratic system of Government, no one deserves to be bullied or forced to support someone they do not desire.

She wrote: “At the end of the day it’s a democracy, no one should be bullied or forced to support anyone.”

Toyin Abraham cries out over bullying

A few weeks back, Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham cried out over bullying and death threats she and some of her colleagues received after they publicly declared her support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In an interview on TVC, the mother of one who publicly declared her love for Tinubu said: “

“I love Asiwaju, and I’m speaking about myself. I love him, I might vote for him because I love him. I’ve not decided, but I’m just saying it. And because of the things he has done for my industry,

“I’m not going to use my selfish interest to lead others. He has been a wonderful man in my industry, he has been there for people and my industry. I am speaking from my own perspective. He is a good man. He has been there for people even when they had nothing. I am speaking for my own Oluwatoyin Abosede Dada Abraham-Ajeyemi.

“Let people choose whoever they want to choose. I will not let people use the gender part of me. I will support anyone who supports everybody. Someone competent. I’m not going to jeopardize the future of our children because of gender part or because I have a colleague there.”

Toyin Abraham reacts to news of her demise

Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page to debunk news of her demise after a vlogger inscribed a “R.I.P” on Toyin Abraham’s photo.

Sharing a screenshot of the post on her verified Instagram page, Toyin Abraham decried the level of bullying since she announced her support for the All Progressive’s Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

She wrote: It is no more Democracy if you don’t allow people to make their decision freely. Everyone can not see things from your own angle ONLY.

Bullying, harassing and threatening people’s life because they disagree with you on personal choice shouldn’t be encouraged at all.

Why would anyone put this out there? Why? Why should anyone wish others bad because they made a different choice? Why?
