Oyo state government has begun the appointment of 5000 newly-recruited teachers by the state’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
This was disclosed via a press release made available to news men by Chairman of the commission, Pastor Akindade Alamu in Ibadan on Tuesday.
He revealed that the distribution of 4400 employement letter to sucessful applicamnts had begun on Monday.
Akinade in his press release said the government approved 5000 appointment letters for distribution and 4400 letters have been released by TESCOM while the remaining were withheld due to certian errors from the applicants applications.
Misspelt names, invalid email addresses among other things were the errors noticed by the commission.
He assured that the employment letter of the remaining 600 applicants would be issued once the errors have been rectified.
Alamu while congratulating the successful applicants he urge the others who are yet to receive to exercise patience.
“While congratulating the successful applicants, we want to appeal to those that are also successful but yet to get their letters to exercise patience.
“We discovered that 600 letters had errors that needed to be rectified, that will be sorted and corrected as we speak and will be distributed as well’, Alamu said.
