Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said that the Eastern Security Network, ESN, was not set up as a tool to fight a particular tribe or religion but against every terrorist.
ESN had in many occasions been accused of launching attacks on Northerners, especially the Fulani living in the Southeast.
Following the attacks on the Imo State Police Headquarters and the state’s Correctional Centre in Owerri, the former Inspector General of Police, IGP, Muhammed Adamu had accused IPOB and the ESN of carrying out the attacks.
However, in a tweet on Tuesday, Kanu explained that the ESN only attacks terrorists who kill regardless of tribe or religion.
“Eastern Security Network is not after PEOPLE or any tribe/religion.
“ESN is after TERRORISTS because terrorists kill people, regardless of tribe/religion.
“If you’ve a problem with that, you’re either a terrorist or a slave’, Kanu tweeted.
