In a tragic incident, two persons including a newly-wed groom were killed after a wedding gift received by a couple exploded in India.
The blast took place at Patnagarh in Odisha’s Bolangir district. The groom and his grandmother succumbed to injuries. The bride also received injuries in the explosion.
According to family members of the victims, the couple received the bomb as a wedding gift during their marriage on February 18. The blast took place when they opened it at their house.
The police are trying to identify who gave the package to the couple at their reception ceremony on Wednesday and what kind of explosive was used in the incident.
