DCP Abba Kyari’s co-defendants pleaded guilty to drug trafficking

The co-defendants of the embattled suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari, have pleaded guilty to illicit drug trafficking.

The suspended ‘super cop’ and six others including four policemen and two alleged drug traffickers were arraigned in an Abuja high court on Monday over drug trafficking allegations.

While Kyari and his police co-defendants – ACP Sunday J. Ubia, ASP Bawa James, Insp. Simon Agirigba and Inspector John Nuhu, pleaded not guilty to the charge, the 6th and 7th defendants, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe, and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwanne, two alleged drug traffickers who were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, pleaded guilty to the charge that was ready to them before trial Justice Emeka Nwite.
