Susuk proceeds facilitated construction of over 75 roads in Nigeria- DMO

The Debt Management Office (DMO) has said the Sovereign Sukuk proceeds facilitated the construction of over 75 roads across Nigeria.

The DMO disclosed this on Thursday in a statement posted on its website while unveiling plans for an additional N130 billion Sukuk on Nigerian Exchange Ltd, NGX and the FMDQ Securities Exchange, Ltd.

DMO noted that the total Sovereign Sukuk issued from 2017 to date stood at N742.557 Billion.

“Total Sovereign Sukuk issued from 2017 till date stands at N742.557 Billion, and the proceeds have facilitated the construction and rehabilitation of over seventy-five (75) Nigerian roads and bridges across the country”.
