Steve-O: Biography & Early Life
Born on June 13, 1974, in Wimbledon, London, to Donna Gay and Richard Glover, Stephen travelled a lot due to the nature of his father’s job. He went to the American School in London. He then went on to study at the University of Miami. After dropping out from there, he went to the University of New Mexico. He eventually graduated from Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College in 1997.
Towards the latter part of his career, he was charged with illegally possessing cocaine. His drug use and bipolar personality contributed to erratic behaviour, leading to his suicide attempt.
He has since then been in and out of rehab and mental institutions to combat his demons.

Stephen used to send videos of himself performing in the Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop to the editor of Big Brother magazine, Jeff Tremaine. The latter eventually cast him in the MTV series, Jackass. The audiences loved it, resulting in five spin-off movies: Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Number Two, Jackass 2.5, Jackass 3D, and Jackass 3.5.
In 2001, Steve-O released a DVD titled Don’t Try This at Home, which contained all the material that had been censored by MTV while airing the show.
He was arrested in 2002 and had to sign a deal with the Louisiana Police to escape jail time.
In 2003, he went on tour with Bam Margera, one of his co-stars in Jackass. Further arrests followed this tour for obscene behaviour and drug possession.
He starred in a new MTV series called, Wildboyz, along with Chris Pontius till 2006.
In 2005, he also launched his own shoe company called Sneaux Shoes.
