His real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., and he was born on the 2nd of November 1974 in Austin, Texas, to his father and mother, Cornell Haynes and Rhonda Mack.
Nelly is his parent’s only son, and the record revealed his father once served in the US Air Force, but his parents separated when he was seven years old.
After his parents separated, Nelly had no other choice than to move in with his mother from St. Louis to University City, a St. Louis County.
Nelly has a half brother named City Spud; he is an American by birth and celebrated his 47th birthday in November 2021.
