The unrest in the Labour Party seems to have gained more grounds as it is right now threatening the candidacy of their presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Peter Obi’s presidential candidacy under the Labour Party is said to be currently under threat following recent development in the ongoing crisis in the party.
The factional chairman of the Party in Lagos State, Mr Ifagbemi Awamaridi revealed that emerging report has it that Peter Obi may be disqualified as the presidential candidate of the Party, however, the national wing of the party has told supporters to be calm and disregard false news.
Punch newspaper reported that the reoccurring factional war in the Party is currently threatening the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi, stating that the ongoing battle over the leadership position of the party in the Lagos state chapter might affect Peter Obi’s eligibility as the party’s legit standard bearer.
