He was born on 14th August in the year 1981 in Kumasi in Ashanti, Ghana. He is the son of Elizabeth and Kwasi. He has a sister named Nana Akua and a brother named Kama. His family moved to the United States and settled in Boston.  He used to go to Winchester High school and completed his graduation from there only. He took admission to Boston College, and after finishing college, he pursued a wrestling career.
