Dejo Tunfulu was born and reared in Lagos Island’s Idumola district, Lagos State, but is originally from Abeokuta, Ogun State’s capital.

Dejo Tunfulu got his First School Leaving Certificate from Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School in Lagos Island, Lagos State, where he completed his elementary schooling.
He then attended Dolphin High School in Ebute Elefun, Lagos Island, Lagos State, for his secondary schooling.

Dejo Tunfulu has a gorgeous family of children and grandchildren. His previous marriage produced two adult daughters. Sammyhat Pamilerin and Balogun boje are the surnames they go by. Mrs. Adesola Olakunle, Dejo’s wife, is no longer alive. She died in December 2012, according to reports, after giving up during childbirth in the early hours of the morning. Dejo has two adult children from his previous marriage. Dejo is blessed with children and grandchildren.

In the early 1980s, Dejo Tunfulu began performing in secondary school when he joined the entertainment society (a school drama club) and performed in a few stage plays.
He grew up in close proximity to prominent stars such as Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje) and Kayode Olasehinde (Baba Ajirebi) and had the opportunity to learn from them even as a child.
He joined the Akuko Gagara Theatre Group and the Kolawole International Theatre Group a few years later, and made his debut television appearance in 1987 in the Kolawole International Theatre Group’s drama series “Apere Ijongbon.”
He rose to prominence after starring alongside renowned actor Fatai Adetayo in the film “Omo Oran” (Lalude).

Actress Biodun Okeowo on her part also penned her tribute. Omoborty as she is fondly called said she is not going to post any sponsored ad today on her Instagram page “due to the great loss.”
As it stands, his death is still a rumour as we’re yet to confirm it to be sure.
