Black Soap Recipes: How to make Black soap for healthy skin

Black Soap has been in existence for a long time and it is what the Yoruba people call ‘Ose Dudu.’ The soap is top-rated in Nigeria as well as Togo and Ghana.
It is considered one of the best because it is completely homemade and is 100 percent natural.
With rate at which the face and the is expose to heat, sunlight, sweat among others, people spend a lot to maintain their beauty.
In this post, we would be listing out recipes that can be used to make Black soaps. There are three popular recipes to make Black soap and we would be taking them one after the other.
Note that to make the black soap, you need to get a vacant space and gloves
1st Recipe
Ingredients you need;
Shea butter
Banana peels or cocoa pods
dried herbs or essential oils
Distilled water
The tools you need include:
Two heatproof bowls of different sizes
Spatula Moulds
Skimmer spoon
To get this done, you grind the banana peels or the cocoa pods to ashes till they look like fine powder. After that you will heat the water without letting it boil, pour the ash powder and let it dissolve. You will need to melt theshea butter slowly as it must not overheat.
Once done, you mix the liquefied butter with the water with ashes, then stir gently and continue heating the mixture using a heatproof bowls.
You then leave with for some days after which you will notice some liquid, at this stage you can start using.
2nd Recipe
Ingredients you need:
2 tablespoons of turmeric powder
2 tablespoons of powdered milk
2 tablespoons of shea butter
2 tablespoons of powdered oatmeal
5 tablespoons of powdered orange peel
4 tablespoons of raw honey
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of powdered sandalwood
½ tablespoons of sulfur (powdered)
50ml of fresh lemon juice
500g of African black soap (melt and pour base)
Lukewarm rice water
Tools you will need
Mortar and pestle
Measuring scales and a measuring spoon
Several bowls
Get a bowl and add rice water into it, you mix the liquid with the water using the spatula. When everything is mashed, you can start adding the powdered turmeric, orange peel, sulfur, sandalwood, and milk.
You then pound everything very carefully and thoroughly. After this, you melt the shea butter till it becomes liquid, you then add it to other ingredients. Add the lemon juice and stir the mixture to make it completely smooth and even. Then you pour into a contain and leave it to become solid.
3rd Recipe
This involves the use of lye, there you will need protection kits for your eyes and hand.
Ingredients you need:
70g of the potash base
distilled water castor oil (can be replaced with palm oil)
120ml of melted coconut butter
Ingredients for the potash base: organic potash
distilled water
First you prepare the potash base as well as the potash that is received from clay. Use a steel bowl to mix water with potash. After this, you place the bowl on the fire and heat up until the potash boils for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes you take it down to let it cool down. You also need to set the oils in a deep pot over low heat to melt the coconut oil.
Note that whatever pot you are using can’t be used afterwards.
At this stage
At this stage, you take about 70g of potash base and mix with 180ml of warm water and wait until it dissolves. You then pour it into the mixture of oils. After that, you stir until the mixtures blend and it starts getting thick.
At this stage, you can remove the pot from the fire and add some essential oils you want.
After that, you pour the mixture into moulds and leave and let it become solid. This should be between 24 to 48 hours. You then take the bars out of the moulds and leave for two weeks. At this stage, it’s ready for use.
